Hi folks... You have just entered History 101--the subject today is about a lady name Allana. Ok, this could get a little long winded cuz the history lesson is gonna be a doozie!!! No just joking.... not that long she's not that interesting. :0) Here goes....
Name: Allana Mello
aka's: Lainie (family nickname) or Zaney Lainie the clown depends on my mood (SPS---split personality syndrome: aaaah!! joke, ok!!!! )
Born: St. Louis, Missouri in the back seat of a 57 Chevy, it was cold -3* outside they say I came out steamin'.... (Hey grandma thanks for catching me and not dropping me on my head), or did she?
Age: Nun'ya (means: None of your business) my kids think I was born in them there covered wagon days...go figure.
Living: Oh, yes I am....
Oh, where do I live: Las Vegas, Nevada as of October 2005. Before that, in the land of corn and the home of Abe Lincoln. Can you guess! Yeah!!! you got it.... Illinois, Central Illinois in a town called Taylorville. I lived there for 7 years.... yep the big 7 (small town living). Before that the big St. Lou.
Married: yes, to a real "Mello Guy" ha!!! get it (Hint: our last name is Mello, ha!).... the bestest husband a girl could ever have... He puts up with my weirdness, what a guy, he's a keeper....
Kids: Kinda, there all grown up now..... I suffer from empty nest syndrome, also.... Our son is 23, name is Anthony (aka Tony) a very handsome young man, he is. Then there is our daughter Jessica (aka Jesse) almost as cute and silly as her mom.... I said almost!!!! She is missing the weird part..... thank goodness! What a hoot to be around.
Pets: Yes, 3 fur babies!!! We have Pugsley the chow, age 13 pretty, but old and grumpy, likes to growl a lot. She was a rescue dog.... And then the next fur child is my sweet "Bandit" the pug.....age 8, cute, spoiled rotten and funny. And our newest addition is a wild and crazy little girl pug named Opus. She was named after Russ's favorite wine. My husband says I am a "crazy Pug lady". Check out some of my links, you'll see..... they are all just so cute.... what a puggy mug they have!!!!
Hobbies: A few, I am not all the way unpacked yet! But needless to say we have a 3 car garage and no place to park a car. Lot's of hobby stuff still to unpack.... Let's see I am a basketweaver, I have weaved over 600 baskets, I sculpt with clay, I have tons of scrapbooking stuff but have never sat down to do it, YET!!! I make candles & bath products, I sew and paint..... & I am very good at making messes..... Oh!!! And I am a balloon-a-maniac...... I LOVE balloons.....
Some other points of interest: Love to travel and see other countries and cultures, it is a lot of fun... I like to cook (bake), especially dog treats for the fur children. HUGE!!! Hockey fan, St. Louis all the way,baby....Let's go BLUES!!! Don't forget the Cardinals, too..... GO CARDS!!!!!
History/Experiences with kids: Can we all say "the super mom disease" I loved doing things with my kids & their friends, when they were wee ones. I was the room mom for both kids for lots of years, Girl Scout leader for many years, Cub/Boy scout leader, and on, and on, and on... blah, blah.. So needless to say being goofy and silly and living in lah,lah land is second nature to me. <:0)
Balloon education:
Yep, folks there is such a thing....
There's balloon schools, clown schools, conventions and camps. There are Associations that even help educate us. We travel across the country and some travel over seas for these fun adventures. We go to classes that help us become better decorators, twisters, clowns, face painters just for you (thank goodness).
While living in Illinois we owned a retail business I received lots of experience decorating for events, creating one of a kind balloon sculptures and so much more. Needless to say that hooked me on balloons. So I studied hard and received what you call a CBA (certified balloon artist) I am certifiably certified to decorate for you. I have attended balloon camps, clown camps, and conventions and more to attend this year. <;0) Yeah! Field Trip!!! This helps keep me educated on new trends and ideas to make your parties and events successful.
